Bridgeport High School Seniors Katy Klenk, Braden Zannino, and Ariana Foster were selected to participate in the 2020 West Virginia Music Educators Association (WVMEA) West Virginia All-State Orchestra earlier in the spring.

The annual All-State Orchestra showcases the best young high school and middle school musicians from across West Virginia. The students qualified for the 99-piece orchestra by audition, and capped the three-day event with a concert performance on March 7.

The orchestra was conducted by Dr. John Devlin, Music Director of the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra. This year’s music selections were For the Love of Music (Strasser), Peer Gynt: Suite No. 1 - IV. In the Hall of the Mountain King (Grieg), and Symphony No. 2 – Finale (Tchaikovsky). The students were accompanied to the All-State performance by BHS Strings teacher Tricia Price.
