Tuesday Afternoon West Main Street Accident Slows Traffic, Requires no Medical Transports

A Tuesday afternoon traffic accident brought out Bridgeport Police and emergency departments, but required no medical transports. 
 
Involving two vehicles, the incident took place just after 2 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Virginia Avenue. Traveling west on Main Street, a dump truck attempted a wide, right-hand turn onto Virginia Avenue, striking a 2006 Buick LaCrosse which was traveling on the inside lane of Virginia Avenue. 
 
The accident is under investigation by Bridgeport Police Department, Officer M.J. Hammond. 
 
Traffic was affected for a short time until the vehicles were removed from the street. Shown is the LaCrosse in front of Mike Kelley's Appliance Repair. 
 
The Lacrosse was towed from the scene by Dan Riggs Towing.
