Two Members of the Harrison County CEOS Honored for 2017 Achievements

Two members of the Meadow Valley Community Educational Outreach Service club were honored at the annual CEOS Achievement Day for their 60 years of service to the organization.
Barbara Krafft and Helen Singleton both received pins and certificates from the Harrison County office of the West Virginia University Extension Service and the West Virginia CEOS organization for achieving this milestone in membership. Patty Johnson of the Marshville CEOS club was similarly honored for having reached 55 years of membership.
 
During the Achievement Day ceremony, clubs and individuals were honored for their service to the community. The Harrison County CEOS was the top organization within the WVCEOS involving community service, having totaled more than 82,000 volunteer service hours in 2017.
 
WVU Family and Community Development Agent Becky Smith installed the officers for the 2018 year. Those serving in a leadership capacity will be Karen Blocker, president; Connie Wolfinger, vice president; Joann Giovanetti, secretary; Rena Lawrence, treasurer; Cynthia Wotasek, Board Advisor; Delores Stutler, Continuing Education Committee chair; Lyda Lister, Family Committee chair; Pam Coffman, Marketing and Membership Committee chair; Carolyn Romine, Purposeful Reading Committee chair; Janet Gorrell, Celebrate Volunteer Hours Committee chair; Barbara Leatherman, County Scrapbook chair; and Pat Rummel, County Health Motivator.
 
Also honored for their years of service include Mary Lantz, Sue Martin, Frances Allen, and Estelle Bailey, 45 years; Janet Robinson, 40 years; Deloris Wilson and Wilma Moore, 35 years; Elwanda Dennison and Betty Wilcox, 30 years; Carol Bennington and Janna Mae Westfall, 25 years; Ginny Michaels, Betty Curtis, and Frances Kopshina, 20 years; Linda Williams, Janet Cox, Cheryl French, Luella Everitt, Lisa Criss, and Maxine Randolph, 15 years; Cheryl Suan, Priscilla Suan, Barbara Leatherman, Joyce Griffin, Karen Davis, and Juanita Cleavenger, 10 years; and Virginia Chapman, Dixie Smith, Donna Chipps, Reona Heater, Fran Nutter, Jean Papenburg, Terri Baker, Debra Layfield, Emily Bennett, Wilma Bennett, and Margaret Palmer, 5 years.
