Two-Vehicles Left Disabled, but No One Injured, after Afternoon Rain-Soaked Accident on Interstate 79

A late afternoon wreck on Interstate 79 left a pair of vehicles disabled, but didn’t result in any injuries, according to the Harrison County 911 media log.
 
At 4 p.m., the call went out for a vehicle accident with injury on Interstate 79. The incident took place between mile markers 124 and 125 on the southbound lanes of I-79. The area in question is situated between the Saltwell Road southbound on ramp onto the interstate and the Jerry Dove Drive off ramp.
 
The two vehicle accident saw them both end up in the ditch just off the roadway. The cars were far enough from the road that it did not impede traffic.
 
The Bridgeport Police Department, Bridgeport Fire Department and the city’s EMS unit showed up on the scene. As noted above, the 911 log states that there were no injuries.
 
Bridgeport Police are investigating.
