Robert R. Hardman, 91, of Bridgeport, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

 

He was born in Wilsonburg, December 12, 1932, a son of the late Ernest B. and Elsie J. Lynch Hardman.

 

He is survived by his wife, Janice L. Gill Hardman, whom he married, December 21, 1989; grandchildren: Megan Hardman of Carol Stream, IL, Jacob Hardman, Leesburg, VA; two daughters-in-law: Kim Hardman, Leesburg, and Carolyn Garber, Clarksburg; his special friend, Bob McGee, and many extended family.

Bob was also preceded in death by one son, Derek Hardman; and his special cousin, Glen Perine and his wife Helen Jean.

 

Bob was a Korean Conflict veteran, having served with the United States Air Force from 1952-1956. He was formerly employed by James & Law Company in Clarksburg and by Hope Gas. He was a 47-year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarksburg. Bob enjoyed the outdoors and photography. His and Janice’s favorite place to travel was Canaan Valley, WV.

 

In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation services were provided. Interment will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens with full military rites at a future date. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com. The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hardman family.
