WVU School of Nursing Bridgeport Campus Welcomes New Students with Pledge Ceremony

The second cohort of WVU School of Nursing Bridgeport Campus students formally entered the study of nursing on Thursday during the Spring 2024 Nursing Pledge Ceremony.
 
The nursing pledge is a commitment to demonstrate and respect the moral principles of the nursing profession. Specifically, the WVU School of Nursing Pledge speaks to integrity, compassion, ethics, patient advocacy and lifelong learning.

“Our first cohort of students will graduate in August, so our second cohort will only continue to build upon their success,” said Dr. Veronica Gallo, Bridgeport Campus Chair.
 
Students who took their pledge on Thursday are: McKinley Clark of Hepzibah; Kane (Charles) Dempsey-Mottern of Virginia Beach, VA; Brenna Goodson of Bridgeport; Cassidy Guire (Price) of Barricksville; Lauren Harmison of Charleston; Lauren Huggins of Morgantown; Courtney Keeney of Jesse; Aidan Kuriger of Sicklerville, NJ; Patrick Mirandy of Morgantown; Blakelyn Mote of St. Marys; Ann Parish of Stamford, CT; Taylor Payne of Berkeley Springs; Maggie Petitto of Clarksburg; and Riley Snider of Fairmont.
