West Virginia Patriot Baseball is hosting a major travel baseball tournament to be held at the Bridgeport Recreation Complex, and Bridgeport High School with a few games at Frank Loria Field this weekend, May 29th, May 30th, and May 31st. The 4th Annual Bridgeport Bracket Bash includes a 37 team field broken into 5 age brackets with teams competing in each of 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U & 15U divisions.

 

Admission is $3 per day and those under 12 are admitted free. Residents of the community are invited to come out and watch a little or a lot of youth baseball as 69 games will be played between Friday’s 4 p.m. start through Sunday evening’s five championship games. Schedule, game results and standings will be posted to www.wvpatriotbaseball.com throughout the weekend for up-to-date information on the tournament.

 

The slate for the tournament includes Friday games beginning at 4 p.m., Saturday games beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing all day, and Sunday games starting at 8 a.m. and playing toward the championship games in each division. Each team will play 2 games, based on those results, then be seeded for a single elimination format ending with our bracket champions. This is a non-sanctioned event and the participants are travel baseball teams from 5 states.
