One of the area's most popular warm weather destinations will not open up in the weeks ahead as has usually been the case, according to West Virginia State Parks.

 

The State Parks made the announcement on social media.that the pedestrian bridge to the main overlook at Coopers Rock State Forest will be closed for work. As for when it will reopen, that was not listed. 

 

Here is the announcement on the outdoor tourtist attraction as well as a favorite for locals.

 

"Please be advised that the pedestrian bridge to the main overlook at Coopers Rock State Forest will be closed and off-limits to the public until further notice due to the need to make structural repairs. We ask that all visitors heed the closure notice and respect any barricades."
