Winter Weather Advisory in Effect; Up to Three Inches of New Snow Possible, Visibility Concerns

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on January 15, 2018 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

A winter weather advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Monday through 6 p.m. Tuesday. With additional snow falling, slippery roads are expected. Total snow accumulation is one to three inches in much of the West Virginia lowlands. Be prepared for reduced visibility at times. Take precautionary measures and always use caution on the road. A winter weather advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause travel difficulties.

In the immediate area, snow is expected mainly after midnight; low temperatures around 21 degrees and south winds five to eight miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation for tonight is about one inch. Tomorrow, snow will fall mainly before 1 p.m., then a chance of snow showers after 1 p.m. with one to two inches of new snow possible.
