With the addition of a brand new fleet of state-of-the-art golf cars, enhanced course maintenance to ensure turf quality, and a spectrum of programs to facilitate play, the Palmer Course at Stonewall Resort continues to up its game for the benefit of its patrons, resort representatives announced. The course will open for the season on Saturday, March 31.

“We’ve got a world-class golf course here at Stonewall Resort,” said Randy Hernly, the resort’s PGA Golf Professional.  “While Golfweek Magazine ranks us as one of the top 100 courses in the nation, we continue to work to enhance our product every day. For 2018 we’ve implemented a number of programmatic, equipment and on-course improvements to ensure players of all abilities enjoy their time on the Palmer Course.”

The Palmer Course continues its relationship with the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA) in 2018 by hosting the WVGA Two-Person Scramble (April 14-15), USGA US OPEN Championship Local Qualifier (May 7), WV Senior Series Event (July 3), and the WVGA Amateur Tour Final Event (May 20).  New for 2018 are four USGA Play 9 events scheduled for May, June, July and August.  The Play 9 events are planned as “FUN GOLF” and will include a wine tasting as part of the outing.
