The library has added five new services to its electronic collection.  All you need to access them is a Bridgeport library card and the Internet.  The services range from sports training videos to international movies and documentaries.

Kudda is a curated online video collection showcasing training and instructional videos from winning college and high school coaches across a variety of sports.  For those involved with youth sports at every level, Kudda’s online training videos will produce better coaches and players.  There are thousands of training videos covering basic fundamentals, specific drills, and game plans for a wide range of sports.

Indieflix is a streaming movie service that offers access to award-winning shorts, feature films, and documentaries.  Library patrons can instantly view over 4,500 titles from more than 50 difference countries including the best from film festivals like Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca, and more.

Discover the next self-published phenomenon with FastPencil for Libraries, a self-publishing platform for new or established authors to develop and edit works, along with the tools needed to publish the final result.  Utilizing cloud-based writing tools, you can write, organize, and edit using the online interface and share progress and get feedback from the Fast Pencil for Libraries community.

WorldCrunch offers library patrons global perspective on world affairs from North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.  The best source for English-translated news from leading global media outlets is now available at your library.  There are thousands of up-to-date news stories from around the world available in English or the original language.

A video based how-to training resource, Atomic Training, gives patrons unlimited access to more than 500 courses (50,000 plus videos) covering over 140 of today’s most wide-spread software applications on both PCs and Macs.  You can improve job skills with in-depth training on Excel and Photoshop, or learn valuable social media skills with tutorials on Twitter, blogging and podcasting.  There are also training videos on mobile products such as the iPhone and iPad which you can watch at the library or remotely from home.

Access these new services by visiting the City of Bridgeport’s website, clicking on library under departments, and scroll through our many electronic services from Zinio to WVDELI to Freegal.  If you have any problems signing up for these new services, just call the library for assistance.
