Our new website has one more feature that we need to promote; we now have a mobile app.  You can sign up from the main website to download the app which is very useful for interacting with our online digital services particularly the WVDELI, the source for more than 80,000 eBooks and eAudiobooks, and Hoopla, also a source for downloadable materials.  So, please sign up for our mobile app. 

 

Also, visitors to the library will notice that things seem to be disappearing.  We are in the process of moving some of our collections.  The DVDS that were normally featured in the front of the library have been moved to the back, next to our music CDs.   Our graphic novels and manga have been pulled from the regular collection and concentrated on shelves in the back corner of the library. 

 

We have plans to move the books on CD across from the DVDs so that all our media will be kept together.  Also, this will free up space in the front of the library next to the magazines and newspapers.  We plan to feature all our new additions to the collection on those shelves; so, you no longer must go to multiple spots in the library to see the newest fiction, nonfiction, DVDs, music CDS, puzzles, etc. 

 

This is like a puzzle; we must move one thing to free up space to shift another, but we are hard at work and should be done sometime before the holidays. 

 

Also, the library is purchasing more copies of bestsellers on the WVDELI to help meet the demand.  Just remember that you need to sign in first to see some of them since they were purchased especially for area patrons.  This should speed up your wait on the holds list since you are only competing locally and not with everyone on the WVDELI.
