The library’s programming heats up this spring with our continuing programs plus some new ones for children, teens and adults.  Children this month have a special slot of programs including the cast members of the Bridgeport High School musical version of “Peter Pan.”  So here is a preview of the programs designed for children.

They can enjoy Dr. Seuss’s birthday with a “Seuss Celebration” on Thursday, March 5th at 6:00 p.m.  All children between the ages of four and twelve are invited to this evening dedicated to Dr. Seuss.  A few of his classic books will be read and kids get the chance to work on a Lorax-inspired craft.  Registration is required.

Dog Days continue on the first Saturday of each month.  The Mountaineer Therapy Dogs are eager to have children read stories aloud to them.  To reserve a time slot, please call the library.  The program is March 7th from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The cast of the Bridgeport High School presentation of “Peter Pan” will be available at the library on Tuesday, March 10th at 6:00 p.m.  The actors will be in full costume and will read some of this favorite story to attendees.

Pizza and Pages is set for Thursday, March 12th at 6:00 p.m.  Children between the ages of eight and twelve are invited to borrow a copy of the book, “The Moorchild,” by Eloise McGraw.  Participants will discuss it while enjoying pizza and refreshments.
