Off the Shelf: Busy Slate of March Library Programs

The library has a busy program schedule for March; there is hardly a day without a program.
 
“Nesting Knitters” continues every Wednesdays from 10-1 p.m.  All those interest in knitting or crochet are invited to attend meetings and share ideas.  Advanced and beginners are welcome.
 
“Colorful Yarns” is another crafting group that meets on alternate Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.  Its members have a wider interest in fabric arts.  They meet on March 3, 17, and 31.
 
“Bookin’ It” are low-impact classes for adults and senior citizens.  Mark you schedule for March 3, 10, 17, 24, 25 and 31 at 2 p.m.
Our regular monthly “eReader Workshop” is set on Thursday, March 12th at 2 p.m.  Registration is required; please bring your device and your library card so that you can learn how to download eBooks, eAudiobooks and digital magazines from the library for free.
 
“Live-n Learn” meets on Tuesday, March 24th at 2 p.m.  This month’s program focuses on the Civilian Conservation Corps.  Registration is required.
 
Participants can “Get Their Games On” at 6 p.m. on March 19th by playing tabletop games throughout the library.  Games will be available for all ages.  Registration is required.
 
Movies are scheduled throughout the month.  On Fridays at 1 p.m. your choices are “Harriet” on March 6th, “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” on March 13th and “Knives Out” on March 20th.
 
On Monday evenings at 6 p.m., the movies scheduled are “Playing with Fire” on March 9th and “Charlies’ Angels” on March 16th.
 
Book Groups meet throughout the month as well.  On Wednesday, March 18th at 6 p.m. they will be discussing “After Anna” by Lisa Scottoline, on Monday, March 23rd at 6 p.m., “The Library Book” by Susan Orlean, and on Friday, March 27th at noon, “Dick Francis’s Gamble” by Felix Francis.  And fans of Diana Gabaldon’s “Outlander” can get together on Thursday, March 26th at 6 p.m. for “Sassenach Sessions.”  Ask Joanne or Tyler at the library for a copy of the book.  The book groups are open to all interested readers.
