Off the Shelf: Library Unveils New Logo, Website; Book Sale Still Going On

By Sharon Saye on September 29, 2021 from Off the Shelf via Connect-Bridgeport.com

We are very excited to announce we have a new website and logo.  With it you can view our full calendar of events, register for programs, browse out catalog, and so much more.  Be sure to bookmark our new URL: https://bplwv.org

Our logo has bright colors fanned out like an open book.

The main page includes the basic information such as hours, address, phone number and email. We even have a map.  There is a link to our eResources and our upcoming events.  You can register from this site and even make a brochure of what programs interest you that you can print out or email to yourself.  Programs are already scheduled out from now through November.

From our eResources page you can link to our over 30 different databases from the WVDELI, and Hoopla, our most popular, to Mango (languages) and Universal Class (educational classes.)  There is a colored tap on the side of the page marked Tutorials that links you to online explanations on how to use the different databases.

There is a page with programs and activities for kids called aptly, “Kids Zone,” as well as links to some of the most in-demand books of the month that you can place holds on.   Also, as always, there is a link to our catalog, so you can search for subjects or specific books.

Also, the book sale continues in the hallway of the library.  Prices are posted on the wall and are divided by non-fiction, fiction, mysteries, science fiction children and young adult.  We have a large selection that changes as space becomes available; so be sure to stop in regularly to check it out.
