The Harrison County Parks and Recreation will host its 25th Annual Children’s Halloween Party at the Harrison County Rec Complex on Thursday October 30th from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.  The complex is located on route 19 south across from Sunny Croft Golf Course.

The party is free of charge to Harrison County Children ages 3-12 and activities include games, prizes and awards for the best costumes.  Kids and parents can come and take a spooky walk on our Haunted Trail, as long as the weather permits.

The first 150 kids through the door will get a complimentary Halloween bag filled with goodies.  The bags are provided by the Harrison County Commission and the Vital Levy Service.  The event is held in cooperation the West Virginia University Extension Service.

“We have been providing a night like this to the kids for over two decades, and we see this as a safe, alternative means of providing the children of Harrison County with a wonderful evening of Halloween activities,” remarked Deputy Director Doug Comer. “And, a special thanks to the Harrison County Commission and the HCPRC Advisory Board for all their support in providing us with the resources to make this happen.”

Building capacity totals 300 people and the bags will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information on the event, please contact the Harrison County Parks and Recreation at 304 423-7800.
