Little Explorers Unit to Feature Pirates

Bridgeport Parks and Recreation’s Little Explorers program is exploring the life of a pirate in an upcoming session.
Beginning Wed., Feb. 19, Anita Jesmer will guide young landlubbers – ages 3 through 8 – through a four-week program which will include a treasure hunt and the making of telescopes and pirate hats.
“We’ll also be writing messages in bottles and having a whole lot of fun,” Jesmer said.
The price for the four-week session at the Benedum Civic Center is $45. Two class times are available: 6-7 p.m. Wednesdays or 10-11 a.m. Thursdays. Register by calling Bridgeport Parks & Recreation 304-842-8240 or stopping at the Civic Center office.
