The Associated Businesses of Bridgeport’s fall membership meeting will again be a tailgate party. Just before the BHS Indians take on football rival Fairmont Senior, ABB member businesses and officers will mingle with each other and city officials. And, as all tailgate events do, there will be plenty of food and fun.

 

The tailgate party takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at Bridgeport City Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Wayne Jamison Field.

 

Member businesses – and prospective member businesses - are asked to RSVP by Monday, Sept. 16 by contacting Lang at 304-290-8636. 

 

Any business that pays business & occupation taxes to the city of Bridgeport is eligible for membership.

 

“The group prides itself in providing opportunities to encourage communication among other businesses, the community and the city,” said ABB Secretary/Treasurer Lisa Lang. “We host such events as the Summer Kickoff in June, the BHS Tailgate in September, the Main Street Scarecrow Display in October and Light Up Night, which this year will be held on Dec. 5.”

 

The ABB hosted Tony Caridi of WV MetroNews at the spring 2019 membership meeting which took place at Bridgeport Conference Center.

 

Annual dues are $95. Registration forms will be available at the tailgate event or interested businesses can reach out to Lang 304-290-8636.
