BHS Alum Musgrave Moves to 5-1 for Rockies Class A Squad after Start with Most Innings, Strikeouts
By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on May 27, 2015 via Connect-Bridgeport.com
When Harrison Musgrave walked off the mound in the sixth inning Monday, he wasn't thinking about how he just lost his bid for a perfect game. He was just thankful he didn't allow any runs.
The left-handed Rockies prospect tossed seven one-hit innings for his first scoreless outing of the season as Class A Advanced Modesto blanked Visalia, 2-0, at John Thurman Field.
"It's awesome. The whole point is to keep offense off the board, and it's been awhile since I was able to do that," he said. "It was a nice change of pace where our offense didn't have to go out and try to score five runs just to give me a win or keep us in the game."
