BHS Boys Hoops Game Tonight at Elkins Scrapped; Frosh Contest at Bridgeport Won't be Made Up

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on February 09, 2017 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

According to Bridgeport High School Assistant Principal and Athletic Director Matt DeMotto, tonight's scheduled Big 10 Conference boys varsity basketball game between Bridgeport and Elkins has been postponed.

Although Harrison County and Randolph schools were in session today, the reason for the postponement is weather related. Randolph County schools had an early dismissal, which led to the stoppage of all extracurricular activities.

Also, DeMotto said the freshman game pitting Elkins against Bridgeport at the BHS gymnasium has been canceled. That game will not be made up.

The varsity game will be made up. Barring more inclement weather, the Indians will visit the Tigers on Feb. 21. Game time will again be 7:30 p.m.
