The Class AAA No. 2 Bridgeport girls soccer team’s dominance continued on Tuesday with a 6-0 victory against North Marion at Wayne Jamison Field

With the win the Indians improved to 8-0 and they have now outscored their opponents by a combined score of 51-1.

“I didn’t realize it was that much,” BHS coach Sam McKinney said. “We have a lot of talented players and we have a lot of girls who are getting playing time. We’re trying to build for the future too so we are getting a lot of the younger girls in the game. I don’t think some of the freshmen realize how rare that is.”

It didn’t take long for BHS to get on the scoreboard against the Huskies as Gabby Reep scored off a pass from Audrie Sprouse at the 2:34 mark of the first half.

Elizabeth Deniker made it 2-0 with a goal following a corner kick from Kylie Bender.

At the 16:39 mark, Braelynne Sandreth scored the first of her three goals on a header with the assist going to Bender. Sandreth and Maci Cook were both credited with an assist on Emerson Grafton’s long goal that made it 4-0.

Forty-eight seconds later, Sandreth scored again to make it 5-0. Anna Hutchinson provided the assist.

In the second half, Sandreth finished off her hat trick and her team-best 15th goal of the season with Bender picking up another assist to make it 6-0.

Mackenzie Randolph and Brooklyn Randolph each spent a half in goal and combined for four saves.

Last week, Reep had a pair of goals to lead a balanced attack in a 6-1 win against Preston.

Charli Grafton, Hutchinson, Sandreth and Deniker all had one goal apiece. Deniker added an assist as did Noelle Anderson and Emerson Grafton.

Mackenzie Randolph had a pair of saves, while one again splitting time with her sister, Brooklyn, in goal.

Sandreth found the back of the net twice in a 5-0 win against Grafton, while Reep and the Grafton sisters each added one goal. Charli Grafton also had an assist.

Kylie Bender had two assists and Hutchinson chipped in with an assist.

Mackenzie Randolph recorded another shutout in goal and finished with one save.

Last Saturday, the Indians blanked Greenbrier East, 3-0. Sandreth had a hand in all three of her team’s goals, scoring one and assisting on the other two which were scored by Reep and Maci Cook.

Deniker and Grace Courtney were also credited with assists against the Spartans.

Mackenzie Randolph posted another shutout in goal and came away with four saves.

Next up for the BHS girls is a road trip on Saturday to play Parkersburg.
