The Bridgeport High School golf team wrapped up its season on Monday in the Class AAA Region I Championship match at Williams Country Club in Weirton.

 

The Indians did not advance anybody to next week's state tournament.

 

Mitchell Duez had the best score for BHS at the regional with an 89. He was followed by Drew Hogue with a 95, while Josh Gervais and Marra Johnson each shot a 96.

 

Wheeling Park and Buckhannon-Upshur finished 1-2 in the team standings to advance to states. The two individuals with the best score not on one of the two top teams also advanced. For Region I, those two golfers are Brooke's Ryan Bilby, who was the low medalist with a score of 64, and John Marshall's Colton Sprowls, who shot an 82.
