BHS Grad Aspires to Be a Professional Wrestler

When you think of professional wrestlers, names like The Rock, Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels come to mind. There might just be a new name added to that list soon and he’s a 2013 BHS graduate.  Sean Lyle will be traveling to Hicksville, New York to begin a journey he’s been dreaming about since he was nine.

“I remember sitting down on the floor in front of the television and just becoming totally immersed in WrestleMania XX,” said Lyle.  “It was like watching superheroes on live TV.  After that, I have wanted to be a professional wrestler and nothing else.”

Lyle also likes the idea that watching WWE together has been a good bonding experience with his father.  His family is very supportive of his decision to follow his dream and excited to see him in the ring.

With the masks, costumes, and trash talking, professional wrestlers are legendary.  Nearly 13 million viewers tune into WWE’s events and they are translated to over 20 languages around the world.  Among Lyle’s favorites are Hall of Famer Shawn “Heartbreak Kid” Michaels, Chris Jericho, and Rey Mysterio, who won the Royal Rumble.

Lyle will be attending a four-month program at Create-a-Pro Wresting Academy, which is run by Brian Myers. Myers goes by the name of Curt Hawkins in WWE and he started wrestling when he was just 18. Inspired by his success, the dream is worth pursuing for Lyle. To prepare for the intense training of the program, Lyle has been hitting the gym six days a week. With the support of his hometown and his family, the community will all be anticipating hearing Vince McMahon announce his name so that all the world can be as proud of him as his hometown is.
