BHS Represented by Five Players on All-Big 10 Softball Team; Mason, Pethtel Earn First-Team Honors

The Bridgeport High School softball team landed five players on the All-Big 10 Conference squad.
 
Earning first-team honors were Rachel Mason as an infielder and Chloe Pethtel as a utility player.
 
Named as second-team selections were Addison Veigel as an infielder, Kaitlyn Archer-Lewis as an outfielder and Kileigh Pugh as a utility player.
 
The all-Big 10 team is selected by league coaches and administrators.
 
Lincoln’s Delaney Haller was named the Big 10 Player of the Year, while Philip Barbour’s Avery McDaniel was named the Big 10 Pitcher of the Year. Coach of the Year honors went to Lincoln’s Yancey Weaver.
 
Joining Haller and McDaniel as a first-team pitcher was Buckhannon-Upshur’s Jansen Kimble.
 
The first-team catchers were: Robert C. Byrd’s Gina Alvaro and Philip Barbour’s Katelyn Cooper.
 
In addition to Mason, first-team infielders were Lincoln’s Alexis Williams, Lewis County’s Courtney Boggs, Lincoln’s Karriss Drain and RCB’s Avery Childers.
 
The first-team outfield consists of RCB’s Alyssa Dunn, Philip Barbour’s Katie Kennedy and the Lincoln duo of Emalee Brown and Emily Robey.
 
Joining Pethtel as a first-team utility player were Lincoln’s Cadence Lambert, Liberty’s Charlee Johnson and Philip Barbour’s Makayla Gonzales.
 
The second-team pitchers are Grafton’s Lillie Crimm, Liberty’s Destiny Coble and North Marion’s Rayden Satterfield.
 
Lewis County’s Courtney Hartley and Grafton’s Jordan Niggemyer are the second-team catchers.
 
Joining Veigel as second-team infielders are B-U’s Taylor Spratt, Philip Barbour’s Katielynn Warner, Lewis County’s Macey Franklin and Grafton’s Kaliegh Spiker.
 
Alongside Archer-Lewis in the second-team outfield are North Marion’s Haley Smith, Liberty’s Kadence Crock and B-U’s Alyssa Abel.
 
In addition to Pugh, second-team utility players are B-U’s Kailey Hart, North Marion’s Adrianna Floyd and Lincoln’s Aliyah Elder.
