Bridgeport High Junior Koby Kiefer Earns First Place in UNLV Specialists Camp Punting Competition

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on June 21, 2016 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

The honors are beginning to add up for soon-to-be-junior kicker Koby Kiefer of the Bridgeport Indians. Recently, Kiefer was recognized as a Ray Guy Prokicker.com Top Prospect Award winner.

This past weekend, he earned another honor. He was earned first place in the punting competition at the UNLV Specialists Camp in Las Vegas. The camp was headed by Brandon Kornblue of Kornblue Kick, which runs camps across the country. In fact, he'll be hosting a camp at West Virginia University on July 27. Kornblue was a member of the 1997 National Champion Michigan football team.

Kiefer became a reliable punter and kicker for the Indians last year. His return should lessen the anxiety of Coach Josh Nicewarner when it comes to the Indians' kicking game.
