The Bridgeport High School volleyball team came out of Wednesday’s Charleston Civic Center Volleyball Showcase with a win over Hurricane and a loss to Parkersburg.

The victories over Hurricane were 25-20 and 25-14 and losses to Parkersburg were 16-25 and 10-25.

 

Leading the Lady Indians were Abby Strait with 23 kills, Alicia Betaire with 25 assists, Kristen Crowder with 17 digs and Juliet Hart with 16 digs.

 

On Tuesday, the Lady Indians emerged the winning team of a tri meet at Graton High School, defeating Lewis County 25-8 and 25-11 and Grafton 25-9 and 25-10. Leading BHS was Abby Strait with 22 kills. Alicia Betaire contributed 32 assists and eight aces, Kaitlyn Stanley eight kills with four blocks and Kristen Crowder with 12 digs.

 

Saturday, BHS traveled to Morgantown, finishing 2 and 2. Victories were over Hampshire County 25-16 and 25-20 and Morgantown 25-14 and 25-19 and losses were to Hedgesville 25-14, 23-25 and 10-15 and Morgantown 18-25 and 20-25.

 

The Lady Indians are back on the road Saturday, traveling to Greenbrier East.
