Under the direction of Head Coach Kenneth Eddy and Assistant Coach Brant Carnes, the Bridgeport Middle School Wrestling Team would like to announce their back-to-back wins of 1st place in the Harrison County Championship 2018-2019 season. This year’s match was held on February 6, 2019.

In addition to the team winning the championship, BMS also had five wrestlers win 1st place in their weight classes.

Winners (pictured below) are Zane Wagner at 84 pounds, Brayden Thomas at 95 pounds, Brody Carnes at 102 pounds, Connor Arnett at 110 pounds and Kamar Summers in heavyweight.

The team also placed 5th in the Mason/Dixon Tournament held February 1, 2019.

Coach Eddy’s experience, passion and heart for the sport and his team is what helps these young men form a tight bond and instill in them to never give up.

“We couldn’t have had such a great season without each wrestler. They have come together as a brotherhood, pushing each other to be the best every day, on and off the mat,” Coach Carnes said. “I’m proud of each wrestler and the progress they have made this season. Not all wrestlers’ success can be seen through wins and losses, but as their coach, I can see the real measure of their success this season. As a team they have shown that success as this year’s Harrison County Champions!”
