The Bridgeport youth football teams capped off another successful season for 2016.  For the second season in a row, the Midget team and both PeeWee Red and PeeWee White teams all finished the regular seasons and playoff games with undefeated records as they entered Championship Sunday. 

 

The first game of Championship Sunday was held Nov. 13 at Grafton High School to decide the Midget Division Championship of the Mountaineer Youth Football Conference. In that game, Bridgeport faced off against West Fairmont. 

 

The game started off well for West Fairmont, as they took an early 6-0 lead. However, Bridgeport tightened down its defense and opened things up a little on offense to capture a 26-14 victory and finish the season with a record of 11-0 and as the 2016 MYF Champions in the Midget Division.

 

The Midget Division Little Indians are coached by Head Coach Jason McCall, along with assistant coaches Jeff Hill, Ron Sandreth, Mike Hinzman, Clayce Spurlock, Gary Lhotsky, Chris Drake, Jason Ross, and Chad Reppert.

 

Players on the squad include Gabe Ross, Bladen Roush, Erik McCarty, Braxton Newbrough, Gavin Tichenor, Isaiah West, James Besten, River Weese, Anthony Dixon, Ryan Hall, Nathan Lhotsky, Ian Murray, Landyn Reppert, Caleb Short, Clay Spurlock, Cam Hess, Dylan Hinzman, Cam Jones, Charlie Brazier, Philip Reed, Brock Vincent, Connor Sandreth, Trey Oldaker, James Hall, Joshua Russell, Taylor Thomas, Casey Fox, Connor Arnett, Anthony Spatafore, Wyatt Minor, Ty Drake, Kyler Springer, Denis Solomon, and Antonio Spagnuolo.

 

The Midget Division consists of players ages 10, 11, and 12 (12 if under 135 pounds).
