The Bridgeport youth football teams capped off another successful season for 2016.  For the second season in a row, the Midget team and both PeeWee Red and PeeWee White teams all finished the regular seasons and playoff games with undefeated records as they entered Championship Sunday.

The second game of Championship Sunday was filled with plenty of excitement and anticipation, as the Bridgeport PeeWee White team was defending its fourth consecutive Mountaineer Youth Football Conference (MYF) PeeWee Championships and going for title number five.  Standing in the way would be Bridgeport PeeWee Red, who was 2015 MYF PeeWee Division Runner-Up to its brother Bridgeport team.

The title game rematch would more than live up to expectations and prove to be a defensive battle – a battle that saw Bridgeport PeeWee RED come away with a 6-0 victory and win the 2016 MYF PeeWee Division Championship.  Bridgeport PeeWee Red finished the season with a record of 12-0.

The MYF PeeWee Division consists of players ages 8, 9, and 10 (10 if under 90 pounds) making up 19 teams throughout North Central and Central West Virginia, with the top eight teams advancing to the playoff rounds.

Bridgeport PeeWee White is the 2016 MYF PeeWee Division Runner-Up and finished the season with a record of 11-1.
