It's once again time for Bridgeport Youth Wrestling. The league's very first sign-ups will be held Thursday September 26, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Bridgeport Benedum Civic Center, first floor. There will be a make up day on Monday September 30 from 6-8 p.m.. There will also be one other registration day to follow in late October for anyone unable to make the first two.

 

The league highly encourages wrestlers/parents to come to early sign ups to help the league get a jump start on planning for the season and seeing how many kids will be involved. The cost this year to sign up will be $45 and there will be a discount given for multiple children in the same family.

 

This year, the signup fee includes a T-shirt and shorts for the child. Order forms will be distributed for T-shirts, sweatpants and hoodies which can be ordered for wrestlers, family members and other fans. Those orders will be due the beginning of October.

 

Another reason to try to come to an early registration day is so wrestlers can receive their items of apparel early. We will also have a $50 deposit that will need to be placed for a singlet for your child. The deposit will not be cashed and will be returned at the end of the season once the singlet  is returned to us. The league is looking forward to another great year and a great turnout - and hoping to have an even bigger team this year.

 

Ages are 4-12, and ages 3-4 are at coaches discretion, depending upon maturity, how well they listen and as long as they are not disruptive to others.
