If anyone thought that the first day showing by Bridgeport's Caroline Ramsey at the 43rd West Virginia Women's Senior Amateur was a fluke, then they were likely convinced today that such wasn't the case. Not only did Ramsey once again post the best round of anyone in the field, but she ran away from the pack to capture the championship.

 

Ramsey's total was three strokes off of Tuesday's one-under par 69, but today's score of a two-over 72 left her with a combined score of  141. That mark shot at the Elks Country Club in Lewisburg was 15 strokes ahead of the runner-up.

 

Mary Payne of Charleston was the runner-up with a total of 156. Karen Kinnett of Shepherdstown was the third place finisher with a score of 157.
