Bridgeport's Caroline Ramsey came up just short in her quest to claim the West Virginia Women's Amateur title and the Women's Senior Amateur title in the same year. A day after being tied for the lead, Ramsey's 11-over par opened the door to Adeena Shears to win the event at The Club at Cress Creek in Shepherdstown. 

 

Shears shot a 73 today to give her a three-day total of 225. Ramsey's 82 gave her a total of 230; as she finished five strokes off the winning total for second place. Ramsey's second day 72 was the best round by any golfer in the tournament.
