DeMotto: Makeup Date Set for Saturday for BHS Hoops Game with Preston; Swim Meet Rescheduled

According to Bridgeport High School Assistant Principal and Athletic Director Matt DeMotto, tonight’s game with Preston County (Jan. 5) that was postponed due to inclement weather will be played Saturday (Jan. 6).
The makeup game is part of what is planned to be a triple header of basketball action at the Bridgeport High School gymnasium.
Bridgeport’s game with the Knights at the varsity level will begin at 2:15 p.m. Prior to that, the Indians will compete in junior varsity and freshman action.
DeMotto is reporting that the first game will pit BHS against Parkersburg at 11 a.m. in freshman action. That will be followed by the Tribe taking on the Big Reds in junior varsity action at 12:30 p.m.
Also, a swim meet featuring Bridgeport competing at the Harrison County YMCA this evening has also been scratched. DeMotto said the meet has been set reset for Jan. 15. The time of that meet has not been announced.
