According to MetroNews, Williamstown, Winfield, Wheeling Park and George Washington lead the way in the MVB Bank Champions Cup at the conclusion of the fall sports season.

 

The most competitive race is in Class AA boys, where Winfield leads Bridgeport 381-380. The Generals qualified for the state golf tournament, finished as runner-up in cross country and defeated East Fairmont 3-1 in the state soccer championship. The Indians own third-place results in cross country and football, while finishing fifth in golf. Robert C. Byrd, Fairmont Senior and East Fairmont complete the top five.

 

In Class AA girls, Winfield owns a commanding 479-390 lead over Bridgeport. WHS claimed titles in cross country and cheerleading while finishing as semifinalists in soccer and quarterfinalists in volleyball. The Indians won the state volleyball championship and finished as runner-up in cross country. Robert C. Byrd, Oak Glen and Nicholas County complete the top five.
