Fairmont State University Director of Athletics Tim McNeely and the West Virginia Radio Corporation have announced that Fighting Falcons football and basketball radio broadcasts have been moved to WWLW Magic 106.5 for the upcoming season.

"We are extremely pleased to continue our relationship with West Virginia Radio Corporation and are excited about the opportunity to move to Magic 106.5 for the upcoming season," said McNeely. "The move will help us grow our broadcast from Western Pennsylvania to Flatwoods."

"It's also a privilege for us to welcome back Travis Jones as the 'Voice of the Fighting Falcons' for the fourth season," McNeely added. "Travis is an award winning sportscaster and we look forward to him continuing to represent Fairmont State Athletics on the radio waves."

Fairmont State's move to Magic 106.5 and WVAQ HD-3 will allow Fairmont State radio broadcasts to be heard from Flatwoods, W.Va. to Western Pennsylvania just south of Pittsburgh.

"We think the combination of Magic 106.5 and its HD channel on WVAQ will extend FSU coverage from Pittsburgh to Flatwoods. It is a major step forward in our coverage of the Falcons," said Dale Miller, President & CEO at West Virginia Radio Corporation.

Jones will be joined for the second-straight season in the broadcast booth by Duane Cochran as color commentator for the 11 football broadcasts during the 2016 season, including five Thursday night broadcasts throughout the season. Jones will also bring live coverage of Fairmont State basketball with coverage of 28 regular season games.

All Fairmont State football and basketball broadcasts will also be available online at fightingfalcons.com, including a live video stream for all home broadcasts.
