Former RCB Standout, WVU Player Shehl Resigns as Head Football Coach at West Virginia Wesleyan

PRESS RELEASE FROM WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN
 
George Shehl has resigned as head football coach at West Virginia Wesleyan, a position he has held for the past three years. Shehl gave his resignation Friday morning to Wesleyan athletic director Randy Tenney effective midnight on Sunday, Nov. 15.
 
Tenney confirmed the resignation saying, “We thank coach Shehl for his three years of service to the College and we wish him the best of luck as he moves forward.”
 
The Bobcats just concluded a 2-8 season with a 60-20 loss to Notre Dame this past Saturday. Shehl compiled an 11-19 record in his three years at Wesleyan.
 
West Virginia Wesleyan will now begin a comprehensive search for a new head football coach
