Former WVU Cornerback who Recently Entered Name into Transfer Portal Finds New Football Home

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on June 19, 2019 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

According to this report from MetroNews, former West Virginia cornerback Jordan Adams is headed to the University of Massachusetts as a graduate transfer, Adams announced it last week on his Twitter.

“Thank you West Virginia University next stop and new beginnings will be at University of Massachusetts! #23Era,” the tweet read.

Adams already earned his degree from WVU, so he will be eligible immediately at UMass, which was ironically the final stop for coach Neal Brown in his playing career after Brown transferred from Kentucky.

Playing time appeared to be sparse for Adams with the Mountaineers, sitting behind Josh Norwood, Hakeem Bailey and Keith Washington on the depth chart, and junior college transfer Dreshun Miller may have done the same. Freshmen Nicktroy Fortune and Tavian Mayo enrolled last week and posed another threat for Adams to see the field.
