What’s your favorite movie?
Step Brothers. Our whole baseball team watches Step Brothers, we’ve all bonded over that.

Who is the best high school athlete you have competed against?
The Smith twins from University or Quincy Thornton from Morgantown.

Favorite subject in school?
I don’t really have a favorite subject but my best subject is definitely English. I’m a pretty good writer.

Any pregame superstitions or rituals?
The order in which I put on my socks. I always have to go right foot first. I never put the left one on first before a game.

You have to go into quarantine, what three items do you make sure you have with you?
My phone, my Dog and some Ramen Noodles.

What game of your career sticks out the most?
Definitely the most recent state championship game, the first-ever Class AAA state championship in Bridgeport history. That was the biggest game of my career.

How do you best describe Coach Shields?
I’d say competitive. I’ve never met a coach who wants to win as bad as Coach Shields.

Celebrity Crush?
When I was younger, Megan Fox. I don’t really have one right now.

Not counting baseball, what’s been the best part of the summer so far?
Senior Week. The whole senior class went down to Myrtle Beach. That was real fun

Who’s the funniest player on the BHS baseball team?
That’s a toss-up between J.D. Love and Peyton Henderson. J.D. always has something smart to say and Peyton is just a goofball.

If they would let you have a walk-up song, what is playing?
Gasolina, that song pumps me up.

Where’s one place in the world you have never been to that you would like to visit?
I’d like to go to Hawaii. I’ve always wanted to go there.

Favorite meal?
My Dad’s home-cooked steak. He makes the best steak.

Favorite pro or college athlete?
Right now Shohei Othani because he’s tearing it up in MLB but overall I’d say my favorite of all-time would be Hines Ward from the Steelers.

Favorite pro or college team?
The Steelers for sure. My family is big Steelers fans.

What is the most important part of being the No. 2 hitter in the lineup?
Being the No. 2 hitter, you have to be versatile. You have to be fast, you have to know how to bunt and you have to know how to hit the ball the other way. You want to move the leadoff hitter over.

It’s been a rough year for everybody, what’s one positive you can take from it?
I think staying home from school and being around my family more brought us closer together. We were trapped in the house together and it made us a closer family.

The coolest animal at the zoo?
Probably the gorillas. I love gorillas.

Most memorable moment you have had as a fan?
Watching the Steelers win the Super Bowl against the Cardinals. My family had a big Super Bowl party. My uncle, he’s huge, he started celebrating and jumped up and put his hand through the ceiling. We were watching it in Buffalo so we had a big dog pile out in the snow.

What’s one thing it seems like everybody you know likes but you can’t stand?
A lot of my friends seem to really like the show Trailer Park Boys on Netflix but I just can’t get into it.

The best thing on TV right now is?
I just finished watching Peaky Blinders on Netflix. Loved that show, I binge-watched it in about two weeks and The Ranch, those are definitely my Top 2 right now.

You have control of the stereo in the car, what’s playing?
Country music. Morgan Wallen is probably my favorite artist right now.

What is the most important thing being an athlete at BHS has taught you?
Time management, that’s definitely the most important thing about playing sports at Bridgeport. Obviously, it’s a prestigious education school. You have homework every single day, you have to make you get your homework in outside of practice and games.

There’s a young kid in the community just getting into baseball, what advice do you give him or her?
Don’t be afraid to fail. You are going to fail most of your career in baseball so you have to let it motivate you and don’t put your head down when you do fail.
