Harris, Lesher Earn Honorable Mention Status on Class AA All-State Boys Basketball Honor Squad

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on March 23, 2017 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

For the first time in several seasons, Bridgeport High School did not have a selection to the first, second or third team of the Class AA All-State boys basketball team as voted upon by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association. The Indians did have two players to receive honorable mention status.

Senior point guard J.T. Harris was named to the honorable mention category. Junior Brayden Lesher, who missed the tail end of the season due to illness, also earned the nod after a solid year with the varsity program.

The Big 10 Conference was well represented among the honorees. Four players were on the first team from the league, including senior Chase Riley. Six more individuals made it on the second and third teams, combined. Riley was the only player from Harrison County chosen.
