Indians Overcome Early Deficit to Steamroll Frankfort 16-5 and Punch Ticket to 'AA' State Tournament

Bridgeport's baseball team overcame an early 4-2 deficit to roll past Frankfort in Short Gap by a 16-5 score this afternoon. The win not only gives the Indians the Class AA, Region II championship, propels the Indians into next week's state tournament.
 
The Tribe will play the noon game against a yet to be named opponent at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston. The foe will be either Independence or Pikeview, who are playing at this moment.
 
With the win, Bridgeport moves to 35-3 on the year. The 35 wins is the most in school history.
