The pairings for the Class AA state baseball tournament have been announced. And as many speculated, the four-time defending Class AA state champion Bridgeport Indians will enter the tournamnet as the top seed.

The Indians (26-10) will play Friday, June 1 at 10 a.m. at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston. The Tribe will face No. 4 James Monroe (17-8).

On the other side of the bracket, No. 2 Wayne (25-4) will face No. 3 Frankfort (23-5). That game will start 50 minutes after the completion of the Bridgeport game.

The winners of Friday's game will play in the state title game at approximately 1 p.m., also in Charleston. The contest will start 50 minutes after the completion of the 10 a.m. Class AAA title game.
