McDonald's Classic to See Quality Baseball at Sites in City, Clarksburg, Lewis County Today and Saturday

The annual McDonald’s Classic Baseball Classic will kick off later this morning with games being played at two locations in Bridgeport and one site in Clarksburg. Games will be played at Bridgeport High School, the Bridgeport Recreation Complex and Frank Loria Field as well as games in Lewis County.
 
The tournament will go into this evening. It will continue on Saturday at the same locations.
 
The hometown Bridgeport Indians will kick off things today at 11 a.m. at the BHS baseball field. The Indians will battle Class AAA Morgantown. Bridgeport is back in action today at 5:45 p.m. as it faces Erie McDowell (Pa.) at 5:45 p.m.
 
On Saturday, Bridgeport will play Erie McDowell once again. This time, the contest will begin at 12:15 p.m. Action for the Tribe continues at 4:45 p.m. against Liberty Raleigh. Both games are at the BHS baseball complex.
 
The tournament will also feature a handful of junior varsity contests. Some of the state's best programs, including local teams, will be taking part along with an out-of-state component.
