Media: Florida State's Jimbo Fisher Hopes to Set 2018 Season-Opening Contest against West Virginia

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on July 02, 2015 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

In a blog on the PalmBeachPost.com, current Florida State Coach and Clarksburg native Jimbo Fisher talks about why the season-opening game between the Seminoles and Alabama - coached by Marion County native Nick Saban - is special. In the same report, they attribute Fisher as working on a game in the near future against West Virginia University.

The comment reads "Florida State will open with high-profile, neutral-site games two years in a row, including facing Mississippi in Orlando to open the 2016 season. Fisher said the Seminoles are working on a similar game in 2018 and hopes they can reach an agreement with West Virginia, the school that is located 40 miles north of where Fisher grew up and one in which he followed as a kid."
