Mon Health Holds Annual Pete Dye Golf Classic; Raises $80,000 for Mon Health Medical Center Radiation Oncology Program

Mon Health held its annual Pete Dye Golf Classic at Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport on Monday, June 10, 2019.
 
Thanks to 140 golfers and sponsors, the tournament helped raise $80,000 for Mon Health Medical Center's Radiation Oncology program.
 
"Cancer is one of the biggest issues that we face in this state and we want to make sure that our capabilities meet the communities need," explained David Goldberg, President & CEO of Mon Health System. "We opened up a brand-new radiation oncology center a few years ago. We had a $4 million capital campaign, and we're less than a hundred thousand dollars away from meeting the goal.  Monday will help us achieve our goal."
 
Winners of the scramble gross were, in 1st place, Andy Feeney, Steve Bissett, Ian Dunmyer and Adam Bolton; 2nd place was Adam Reynolds, Justin Carpenter, Andy Hess and Nate Ward. Winners of the scramble net were, in 1st place, Sam Merandi, Steve Mohr, David Mill and Dink Yurko; 2nd place was Bob VanHoose, Danny McHugh, Joe Stogsdill and Randy Murdock.
 
Upcoming golf tournaments to benefit the Mon Health Medical Center Foundation will be held July 13 and Aug. 12, 2019 at Pete Dye Golf Club. To participate in or sponsor future tournaments, please contact the Mon Health Medical Center Foundation at 304-598-1337.
