With the end of the 2018-19 comes the announcement of the first of six all-state teams as chosen by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association. The Class A All-State girls basketball team has been announced.

Locally, Notre Dame senior Taylor Martino made the squad. The senior helped Notre Dame to another successful campaign and to within one game of the Class A state tournament.

Although no other players made the first, second or third teams locally from Harrison County, others did receive honorable mention status.

Emilee Henderson and Emma McKeen, both from Notre Dame, were on the honorable mention list. Kylie Saltis of South Harrison also made the list.

The WVSWA chooses the team for boy and girls in each classification. The team is chosen with the help of ballots of members and coaches that submit ballots.
