On Saturday, Sept. 13, the Bridgeport High School Cross Country teams competed in the Forest Festival Invitational at Davis and Elkins College. The boys varsity team won first place out of a field of 11 teams, while the girls finished in fourth out of 14 teams. The Bridgeport boys' jayvee team also won first place out of three teams. The girls' jayvee squad did not have enough athletes to field a complete team for the event but had individual runners.
