Photos: Bridgeport Girls Soccer Season Comes to an End with 3-1 Loss to Liberty

A storm that ripped through North Central West Virginia Thursday night delayed the Region II sectional final game between Bridgeport and Liberty for about two hours with just under 12 minutes to play in the second half. At the time of the delay, Liberty was leading 3-1. Just before 9 p.m., both teams finished the remaining time, but with no change of score. The final score was 3-1 in favor of the Lady Mountaineers.
The BHS boys also played tonight for the sectional title, taking on Robert C. Byrd at the Eagles' home turf. It was also delayed with 15 minutes left in the first half and with no score. That game will now be played 6 p.m. Friday at RCB.
