Photos: Bridgeport's Season Ends With Loss to Chapmanville in State Quarterfinal

Bridgeport's hopes of an upset never materialized and Chapmanville proved to be as good as advertised as the Indians fell by a 70-44 score Wednesday afternoon at the Charleston Civic Center.The No. 2 seeded Tigers jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter and, after a BHS run early in the second quarter, never looked back. The Tribe never led in the game after the early outburst and being behind 14-5 after one quarter of play.
Bridgeport, the number seven seed, ends the season at 17-8. Chapmanville moves to 25-1 with the win and will play in the semifinals at 1 p.m. Friday.
