Registration is open for Bridgeport Girls Softball Association’s 2017 season. Players may register in person 6-8 p.m. Thurs., Feb. 9 at the Benedum Civic Center. Online registration for 8U and 10U leagues is open through Feb. 28 and for 12U and 16U through March 31. Visit tshq.bluesombrero.com/bridgeportgirlssoftball.

 

League dues are $60 for the first child and $50 for the second ($120 cap per family). Fee covers jersey, socks and insurance for each girl. The 8U and 10U seasons will begin April 10 and will run through May 20 and the 12U and 16U seasons will begin May 15 and run through June 24.

 

The league is in need of volunteers to serve as head coaches, assistants, bookkeepers and team moms.  

 

The league will host the “Queens of the Diamond” travel softball tournament Aug. 12-13, bringing girls’ softball teams to the area from many locations around the state and region.
