For the first time since 2015, Bridgeport High School will be back at Wheeling Island Stadium on Friday.
The Indians advanced to their 11th state championship game in school history with a 38-7 win against Oak Glen in the Class AA semifinal Saturday afternoon at Wayne Jamison Field.
With the win, the second-ranked and 12-1 Tribe will take on Bluefield. The Beavers, who ended the Tribe's season each of the last two seasons in the semifinals, upended top-ranked Fairmont Senior Friday by a 40-24 score to get back to Wheeling Island for the third straight season.
